Conferencia Rails 2011
Hi guys,
once again this year Judit, Ancor, Juanjo and me will be attending Conferencia Rails 2011, the annual Ruby and Rails conference happening July 13-15th in Madrid.
This year the conference is moving to the summer season (in previous years it was held in November) and to a fancy new location at the ‘El Retiro’ Park.
There will be workshops on Wednesday followed by two days of conference sessions on Thursday and Friday. The program looks very promising and we always have a great blast at the party on Thursday evening so make sure you opt-in for the party when buying your tickets and pack enough tablets for the hangover…! :D
My talk submission has been accepted and I’ll be speaking about Rails for mobile devices. I’ll try to cover the typical issues when developing web apps for smart phones and other mobile devices, how developers can work around them and how they can leverage the fullest potential of such devices using Rails, HTML5, as well as other special techniques and tools.
Also, we are very happy to be sponsoring the conference for the first time and of course we plan to keep up supporting the spanish Ruby community in the future.
